What is the weather like?
May in Provence is fair and warm, with temperatures typically ranging between 65-80°F (18-27°C). The evenings may be cooler, so a light layer is recommended. Pack light, breathable clothing, comfortable walking shoes, and something special for evening ceremonies.
What is the food like?
All meals at the villa are included and prepared with fresh, local ingredients inspired by Provençal cuisine. Expect nourishing, flavorful meals with plenty of fresh vegetables, herbs, cheeses, and artisanal bread. If you have dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate.
During our day excursions, you are free to explore and dine at local cafés and restaurants, experiencing the region’s authentic flavors at your own pace.
How physically demanding is the retreat?
This pilgrimage includes daily excursions, light walking, and some dancing during the Gypsy Festival. While no strenuous hiking is required, you should be comfortable with walking through historic towns and sacred sites. If you have specific mobility concerns, please reach out so we can discuss accommodations.
Is this retreat religious?
No, this is a spiritual and cultural pilgrimage that honors the feminine mysteries of Mary Magdalene, the Black Madonna, and the wisdom traditions of Provence. It is open to women of all backgrounds who feel drawn to this journey, whether for personal, creative, or leadership expansion.
Can I come alone?
Absolutely! Many women attend solo. This retreat is designed for deep sisterhood and connection, so you will feel supported and held in a circle of like-hearted women from the moment you arrive.
